The Russian Energy Ministry is prepared to consider allowing independent producers to export gas via Gazprom’s pipelines in future, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told Interfax in an interview.

“The Russian Energy Strategy to 2035 calls for retaining a single channel for exporting pipeline gas. But if the need arises to speed up growth rates and increase volumes of pipeline exports, then the issue of gas exports by independent producers via the single export channel will be considered,” Novak said.
