Pakistan has asked Russia to cut the transit fee of the gas pipeline it is planning to build to connect Karachi and Lahore, according to the Tribune.

The two sides had agreed to finalise the commercial terms of the agreement over the next couple of months to pave the way for the execution of the project. Russia had requested a fee of $1.20/MMBtu for the gas, but the negotiation committee managed to secure a lower price of $0.85/MMBtu.
