Australia’s gas production is expected to hit 128 billion cubic metres in the 2017-2018 financial year, up from 66.4 bcm in 2014-2015, according to figures from the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. The Gorgon LNG project is still ramping up its three trains and the addition of the Wheatstone and Ichthys LNG projects later this year will encourage further gas production growth to supply these plants.
