Norway awards 56 new offshore production licences

Norway’s Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has awarded 56 production licences to 29 oil and gas companies in its Award in Pre-Defined Areas licensing round.

The licences are spread across the Norwegian Continental Shelf, with 36 in the North Sea, 17 in the Norwegian Sea and three in the Barents Sea.
