Gazprom’s gas exports to Europe up 10% in 2016

Gazprom boosted gas exports to Europe by 10.4%, or 9.9 billion cubic metres, in the first seven-and-a-half months of 2016, Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller told journalists.

Gazprom boosted gas exports to Europe by 10.4%, or 9.9 billion cubic metres, in the first seven-and-a-half months of 2016, Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller told journalists.

"From 1 January through 15 August, Russian gas exports to Europe have risen by 10.4% compared with the same period last year. In volume terms, the increase amounts to 9.9 bcm," Miller said.

Demand for Russian gas was up by 16.8% in Austria; 66.2% in Greece; 21.5% in Poland; 29.3% in France; 62.1% in the UK; 95.6% in the Netherlands;...
