Iraq starts plant to capture flared gas from southeast

By Staff reporter 15 August 2016

Iraq started up a facility on Sunday in Misan province, near the Iranian border, to process gas from oilfields in the southeast of the country.

The gas from oil production at the Fakka and Bazargan fields was previously flared.

Other fields in Misan will be connected to the plant as they are brought onstream.
