China’s gas consumption in the first six months of 2016 grew by 9.8% year on year, to 99.5 billion cubic metres, although June’s growth trailed on 5.2%, at 14.1 bcm, according to National Development and Reform Commission data released on Friday.

Output decreased by 1.98% in June year on year, to 9.9 bcm, bringing the H1 total to 67.5 bcm and lowering growth to 2.9%.
