Cheniere Energy has secured a second LNG supply deal with Spain’s Gas Natural Fenosa, moving the company closer to financing its Sabine Pass liquefaction plant to support its plan to export LNG by 2015 or 2016.
Gas Natural Fenosa agreed on Monday to purchase 3.5 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG over 20 years from Cheniere. In October, BG Group secured a 3.5 mtpa supply deal for 20 years.
