US rig count continues to climb

The number of active North American oil and gas rigs is continuing to recover, increasing for the third consecutive week, according to Baker Hughes.

The number of active North American oil and gas rigs is continuing to recover, increasing for the third consecutive week, according to data from oil services provider Baker Hughes for the week ending 17 June.

The number of active oil rigs in the United States rose by nine, to 338. The number of gas rigs increased by one, to 86.
