TAQA sells 3 TWh of long-term storage capacity for Bergermeer

TAQA has announced it has completed its 2012 open season with the sale of 3 TWh of long-term storage capacity for its Bergermeer facility.

Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. (TAQA) has announced it has completed its 2012 open season with the sale of 3 TWh of long-term storage capacity for its Bergermeer facility.

The site, which is set to begin operations in 2015, has a working volume of 46 TWh, of which 33 TWh has now been sold.

The remaining 13 TWh will be reserved as short-term capacity and will be sold on an annual basis in an auction beginning in 2014.

The storage fees will be dependent on the average summer-winter...
