Uzbekistan plans to spend $3.02 billion worth of foreign investment on 151 projects next year, a source in government circles has told Interfax.
The spending is enshrined in the country's investment programme for 2013, which has been confirmed by a decree of Uzbek President Islam Karimov.
In particular, Uzbekistan plans to spend $836.5 million in foreign loans under government guarantee on 56 projects, as well as $2.18 billion in foreign direct investment on 95 projects.
