Despite the tense political relations between them, Ankara is touting the benefits to Israel of exporting its gas via a pipeline to Turkey.

"The construction of a pipeline to Turkey is the best way to export Israeli gas, both in terms of economics and in terms of energy," Mithat Rende, director general for multilateral economic affairs at Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was quoted as saying at the Energy and Economic Summit in Istanbul last week by Israeli business daily Globes.  However, it is highly unlikely...
