A lack of interest in Algeria’s latest licensing round has sparked an inquest by the state oil licensing body ALNAFT.

ALNAFT received just five bids on 31 available blocks. It immediately summoned companies already active in the North African country that chose not to bid to determine the source of the problem, a senior figure in the Algerian oil and gas industry told Interfax.
