22nd World Petroleum Congress
Istanbul, Turkey | 9-13 July 2017The triennial World Petroleum Congress is widely known as the "Olympics" of the petroleum industry and covers all aspects of the industry from technological advances in upstream and downstream operations to the role of natural gas and renewables, management of the industry and its social, economic and environmental impact. In addition, outside stakeholders such as governments, other industry sectors, NGOs and international institutions have also joined in the dialogue.
The Congress will bring together over 5,000 delegates and over 500 speakers. Ministerial Delegations and senior business executives from all over the world will be meeting at the 22nd WPC at the highest level. The exhibition will cover nearly 40,000 square meters and will feature all major international & national oil & gas companies, country stands from WPC's to member countries as well as service companies.
Under the theme of "BRIDGES TO OUR ENERGY FUTURE" the WPC Congress Programme Committee (CPC) who represent 20 of the WPC member countries, have put together a comprehensive Technical Programme to recognise scientific and technological achievements of the oil and gas industry, covering all opportunities and challenges, from energy geopolitics to finance, technical innovation to collaboration, new business models to energy access, and operating in a low price environment.
Turkey, in close proximity to 75% of the producer countries, acts as a global energy bridge linking resources in the east to the markets in the west. For the 22nd WPC, Istanbul, builds on its experiences of organising big international events, with high quality hotels and world-class facilities and services, to provide an unforgettable event for your participation.
