Spot LNG prices in Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan dipped by 0.68% last week from the previous week, ending the period at an average of $4.28/MMBtu. Northeast Asia is nearing the end of the summer cooling season, which will reduce the use of gas-fired power generation. However, utilities will soon start preparing for the winter heating season, which should support prices.
