The key issue: A new bill issued by Western Australia’s state government has given the LNG industry until 2050 to implement emission mitigation measures for new projects.

Interfax analysis: The government of Western Australia (WA) has pre-empted the findings of its Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) by issuing a new policy that seeks to reduce the state’s carbon emissions without stifling the economic gains derived from growing investment in the LNG sector.
