Qatar supplies 96% of UK LNG in May

Qatar cemented its position as the UK’s leading supplier of LNG in May by providing 96% of the cargoes imported at the country’s three terminals – Dragon, Grain and South Hook – preliminary data from the UK government’s Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy shows. 

Most of the cargoes went to South Hook, in which Qatar Petroleum has a 67.5% stake. Algeria was the only other supplier of LNG to the UK in May.
