Combined-cycle gas turbine plants had a 27% market share in Spanish power generation in June compared with just 3% for coal-fired plants, according to data from grid operator Red Electrica de Espana. This marks a significant shift from winter 2018/2019, when gas and coal had a similar market share. In June 2018, their shares were 12% and 13% respectively.
