The key issue: The developer of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline is planning to launch a market test on the proposed second phase of the project on 1 July, in line with EU rules regarding capacity allocation.

Interfax analysis: The Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) development company, TAP AG, is gearing up to expand the  project beyond its initial 10 billion cubic metres per year capacity. But the deadline for bringing the first phase online is still unclear, with the company promising first gas sometime in 2020.
