Thailand’s LNG imports grew by 79% on an annual basis in February, to 375,000 tons, although this was a decline of 32% from the record imports seen in January. However, sustained year-on-year growth in recent years suggests the country’s demand for LNG will increase in 2019. Thailand has seen double-digit growth in its LNG imports over the past four years, including an increase of 16% on an annual basis in 2018.
