The key issue: Egypt’s LNG exports via the 7.2 mtpa Idku plant have been building up over the past months, but talks regarding the restart of the country’s 5.5 mtpa Damietta plant are still ongoing.

Interfax analysis: The startup of Egypt’s Damietta LNG plant has been hindered by a gas supply dispute between Cairo and Spain’s Union Fenosa Gas (UFG), which operates the plant via its subsidiary SEGAS. Protracted talks to settle the dispute have coincided with Egypt’s changing gas supply...
