Volumes of piped gas flowing from North Africa to Europe reached a new low of 347.8 million cubic metres (MMcm) in Week 13. Weak demand in southern Europe combined with low LNG spot prices – which made North African supplies less competitive – continued to limit the appetite for pipeline gas from Algeria and Libya.
