Taiwan’s CPC and Taipower will need to bring their planned LNG terminals online to a strict schedule or risk leaving the country short of fuel for the power plants it is building. 

State-owned CPC plans to start building an LNG terminal at Taoyuan by the middle of this year and to bring it online in 2023 to meet rising demand for the fuel.
