A mild winter and nuclear restarts in Japan and South Korea have put pressure on LNG spot prices in Asia, which has resulted in United States exporters sending more cargoes to Europe.

The US was the third-largest exporter of LNG to EU countries in January and February this year, after Qatar and Nigeria, according to the European Commission.
