Bolivia and Argentina renegotiated their long-term gas supply contract last month, giving Bolivia a higher price for its supply while allowing Argentina the flexibility to adjust the volume it imports.
The two South American countries signed a modification to their long-term gas supply contract on 14 February, agreeing new pricing and quantities with greater seasonality in deliveries.
But despite securing higher prices for volumes above a flat rate, Bolivia is set to see an overall reduction in income from the contract.
