Gas prices for European industrial consumers

Industrial consumers in the 28 EU countries paid an average of 10% more for gas during the third quarter of 2018 compared with the same period in 2017, according to the European Commission’s quarterly gas report.

The increase comes after prices fell between 2014 and mid-2017, the commission noted. The increase in Q3 reflects higher wholesale gas prices in the period.
