Ukraine imported 25% less gas year on year in 2018 following an increase in imports in 2017, according to data published by Naftogaz Ukrainy.
The state company said the decline in imports was the result of greater use of gas from underground storage depots. The country’s gas storage capacity is around 32 billion cubic metres, roughly level with its annual consumption.
