Utilities around the world are shutting down power plants using GE’s newest gas turbines because of a turbine blade failure in Texas, according to Reuters.

GE is setting aside $480 million for repairs to its 9HA, 7HA and 9FB turbine models as it restructures its power business.

At least 18 turbines have been shut down at power plants in Japan, Taiwan, France and the United States.
