Gabon’s latest oil and gas licensing round is at risk because of the ill-health of President Ali Bongo Ondimba, Agence Ecofin has reported.
The president remains out of action after suffering a stroke on 24 October, leaving a power vacuum in the government. The resulting confusion could jeopardise the call for bids on 23 deepwater blocks and another 11 shallow-water blocks launched earlier this month.
