Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB) will consider a claim lodged by a local environmentalist that TransCanada’s Coastal GasLink pipeline should be listed as a federal project, the NEB said on Monday.
The agency said it will accept submissions until next Monday from the claimant, the provincial and federal governments, and other parties on whether the 670 km pipeline serving the LNG Canada project falls within federal jurisdiction.
TransCanada will be required to file its reply to the submissions by 5 November.
