Algeria is working on projects it hopes will allow it to export more gas through its pipelines and LNG plants. Several delayed gas production projects have been commissioned this year, meaning Algeria can finally step up its exports, which have been in decline for the past 13 years.

State oil and gas player Sonatrach will build a 197-km link connecting the two pipelines that export its gas to Spain – the Maghreb-Europe and Medgaz pipelines – Sonatrach Vice President Ahmed Mazighi told Reuters last week. The...
