Efforts by Canada and the United States to negotiate a deal on a revamped North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) have locked the two countries in a pitched battle – if you believe US President Donald Trump’s Twitter tirades. However, last week saw Mexico get through a similar negotiation relatively unscathed.
Trump last week unveiled the United States-Mexico Trade Agreement – the apparent replacement for NAFTA. He said NAFTA had been a “rip-off” and a “horrible deal” for the US.
