Three global gas associations commit to emissions reduction principles

Three major gas associations have signed a guiding principles document on reducing methane emissions.

Three major gas associations have signed a guiding principles document on reducing methane emissions, the International Gas Union, one of the signatories, said in a note on Wednesday.

The other two organisations were the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers and the International Petroleum Industry Environmental Conservation Association.

The guiding principles are a series of guidelines established by the Climate & Clean Air Coalition to help reduce methane emissions across the gas value chain.
