Anadarko is in advanced discussions with France’s Engie regarding the latest tranche of offtake from its Mozambique LNG project, sources have told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.

Two industry sources working in Mozambique said Engie has been negotiating for 1-1.3 mtpa of LNG from the 12.88 mtpa plant.

A third source, who is working closely on the project, was unable to confirm the buyer’s identity but said the final terms of a sales-and-purchase agreement (SPA) with “a European company” should be confirmed within the next few weeks.
