The end of the peak summer demand season in the MENA countries will support LNG exports from the region.

LNG exports from the MEA amounted to 11.34 mt in August, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%. Higher exports from Qatar, Nigeria, Algeria, Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Egypt accounted for the rise. GGA forecasts the region’s LNG exports will rise by 4% on an annual basis in 2017, to 132.6 mt. This in turn will contribute towards the global LNG oversupply.
