Higher netbacks from Latin America will encourage Equatorial Guinea to deliver more of its LNG to the region.

Equatorial Guinea relies heavily on the spot market for LNG transactions, which makes Argentina and Brazil particularly attractive as the two countries procure their entire LNG requirements from the spot market. Almost 70% of Equatorial Guinea’s LNG exports in 2016 were sold on the spot market or under short-term contracts.
