Qatar plans to boost gas production capacity at the North Dome field after lifting a self-imposed moratorium in April.
Qatar is moving ahead with the development of a new project at North Dome, work on which will start over the coming months. The project will have a capacity of 56.6 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) of gas, which would equate to around 12% of Qatar’s marketed gas output in 2016. The project is expected to start commercial operations in 5-7 years.
