Algeria is meeting its LNG export commitments despite recent maintenance at the Skikda plant.
Skikda, which has a liquefaction capacity of 7.7 mtpa, was out of action for most of January because of scheduled maintenance, but Algeria fulfilled its contractual obligations by supplying the fuel from its Arzew plant. Skikda shipped its first post-maintenance LNG cargo on 31 January. European countries such as France, Spain, Greece, Italy and Portugal are key destinations for Skikda’s volumes.
