Middle East & Africa: Trade
The resumption of exports from the 5.2 mtpa Angola LNG plant will add more cargoes to an already glutted market.
The Angola LNG plant has exported two LNG shipments so far in June – its first since production came to a halt in April 2014 because of technical issues. Production at the plant is ramping up and full commercial operations will start in the coming months. In March, Angola LNG also concluded a flexible sales and purchase agreement with EDF Trading. Under the contract, LNG shipments from the plant will be delivered on an ex-ship basis between 2016 and 2018.
