Russian export volumes to Europe are expected to rise on an annual basis in May, helping to secure the country’s market share.
Russia exported around 13 bcm of gas to Europe in April, a drop of 3% year on year. However, exports to Europe are expected to rise to around 14 bcm in May 2016, which will represent a rise of 4% compared with May 2015. Total exports in Q2 are likely to rise on an annual basis, which will help secure Gazprom’s market share.
