Storage requirements in Northeast Asia have supported LNG sales.

South Korea’s gas stocks were up by around 33% compared with the three year average at start of the winter, when the country had around 4.6 bcm in storage. South Korea was active on the spot market before the winter drawdown period began. Japan had roughly 4.4 bcm of gas in storage at the start of October, 16% below the three year average for the start of winter.
