Asia Pacific: Production
India’s gas production is set to continue to grow next year, but the country’s supply/demand gap will widen.
India’s gas output rose by roughly 5% on an annual basis in September, and the country’s output for 2017 is likely to reach 33 bcm, an increase of roughly 5% year on year. Domestic production is expected to rise by around 3% on an annual basis next year, supported by new production coming online as well as improved output from some existing fields that have experienced technical problems. However, this increase in output is likely to be outstripped by the country’s rising gas demand.
