Australian LNG exports are ramping up and new projects will further boost supplies from the country. However, Australia’s domestic gas markets are tightening.
Exports from Australia’s recently commissioned LNG projects in Queensland have boomed, with shipments from the port of Gladstone up by 14% on an annual basis in June and exports from Australia as a whole up by around 28% during the first half of the year. The Gorgon, Gladstone LNG (GLNG) and Australia Pacific LNG projects have all commissioned trains since the start of 2016, boosting flows on a national basis over the past 18 months.
