Projects such as Juniper will support Trinidad and Tobago’s gas production in 2018.
Trinidad’s marketed gas output has not increased year on year since 2013, but this trend is set to reverse in 2017 because of increased production from developments such as Juniper, the Trinidad Onshore Compression project, and the second phase of production at the Sercan gas field. BP started commercial production from Juniper in August, which helped boost Trinidad’s marketed gas production the following month to its highest level since March 2016.
