Mexico’s gas demand is rising as a result of ample gas and LNG supplies from the US.

Supplies from the US will be crucial for gas demand growth in Mexico as the country’s gas production is expected to continue to decline this year. Improving connections have made Mexico the biggest importer of pipeline gas from the US. Meanwhile, US LNG has found a home in the parts of Mexico not well-connected by cross-border pipelines.
