Latin America’s LNG imports will drop further in Q1 2017 as demand for the fuel dissipates in key regional consumers Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
Overall gas demand in Brazil and Argentina is expected to suffer in the coming months as a result of both countries being in recession. Furthermore, gross gas output in the two countries is rising, reducing the need for imported gas and LNG.
