The US is expected to see a cold start to the winter, which will boost the country’s heating-related gas demand.

The US has seen a mild start to winter in the past two years, which has helped cause another gas glut this year. Preliminary forecasts suggest Total Degree Days (TDD) in the US will average 784F during December, much higher than the 607F average seen during December 2015 and the five-year average of 732F.
