Output from Jurassic non-associated gas fields will be central to Kuwait’s supply portfolio over the coming years. Nevertheless, the country is also exploring ways to increase LNG imports and potential pipeline supplies from neighbouring Iraq. While not all of the proposed projects may come to fruition, gas is set to consolidate its position in Kuwait’s energy mix as the fuel becomes more popular in the power and industrial sectors.
