Falling gas demand in the UK is putting pressure on the NBP day-ahead, which fell by 8% over the past week to reach around 37 p/th on Tuesday. While small gains have been seen in Continental hub prices, declines are expected across the region.

UK gas demand has been below seasonal norms in recent days and is expected to continue to be weak in the days ahead. Consumption on Wednesday is forecast to be 8% below seasonal norms, according to the outlook from the National Grid.
