Supply tightness has supported price rise at the European hubs, and sustained colder weather could drive further gains.

The NBP day-ahead rose to roughly 61 p/th last week – a new high for the season and the year so far. An increase in power demand supported greater levels of gas-fired generation, while colder weather drove up requirements for heating-related gas use.
